INTERIOR DESIGN
Vastly overlooked by the residential design industry is the integration of the millwork into the architecture. Often times this is an afterthought that occurs during construction when the potential for something truly exquisite is no longer possible. The best architecture blends the finishes into the forms to create something greater than the sum of the parts.
MILLWORK
This is so much more than just simple trim for windows and doors. Natural exterior materials added to the interior can add a level of coziness to a home. Barn wood siding, wood panels, beams and planked ceilings add richness to rooms and blur the line between indoor and outdoor spaces to create pleasant livable spaces. If planned initially and integrated into the architecture a special atmosphere can be created.
STAIRCASES
Staircases can be dramatic and potentially take on an artistic quality. Sometimes this requires adjustments to the architecture to create the backdrop required to highlight these qualities. This may include room shape, fenestration, lighting, viewing angles and materials.

Beautiful and unique. Millwork is cut and created from lumber, which means each piece is unique. This is refreshing, considering many neighborhoods today feature tract housing. Plus, today’s trends are mixing two different wood species and finishes for an innovative appearance.
